Taking "AWOL Bush" To New Heights
OK, so apparently Bush is out in Crawford on vacation this week while the war in Iraq enters its deadliest phase yet.

Kerry folks, this is your sound bite:

"It's not just that Bush was AWOL in 1972...the real problem is that he's AWOL *now.*"

I mean really. What the hell is he doing out there? He thinks calling the office once a day is an appropriate response to this carnage? He's the commander in chief of the armed forces and he's not even in his office when all this is going down? He can't be bothered to *show up* for his *own fucking war*?

:argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:

And :grr: too,

The Plaid Adder

His people are so f-ing capable that he just gives them directions and they run things... after all, Iraq is the charge of his "unsticker" Condi Rice

5. hah
That reminds me of one of his comments a few years ago on a morning show, shortly after his selection. Chimpy was shown a picture of LBJ looking weary and with his head down. This pic was taken at the height of the VietNam War.

Then Clinton was discussed and a comment was made about how Clinton knew every detail of every situation that was on the burner at the time.

Shrub glibly dismissed the both of them as not knowing how to "manage."

I remember how arrogant I thought that was but now I know that was a line they tossed him so they, meaning Cheney et al, could keep him out of their hair while they stole the country blind.

Cher

4. I'm glad somebody else noticed besides me.
He's going to ball games and hanging out in Crawford while Iraq is blowing up in the face of our troops. Here's a news flash Bush you dumb-ass. Get ready for Iranians to start coming over the border to join their Shiite brothers. This could wind up with 100,000 American soldiers hanging from lamp posts all over Iraq.

6. It's world known now, Bush was never running America anyway...
Cheney's at work, everything is going as planned. Bush can sit back and drink a beer.

"Fallujah me twice, I'll go to Crawford again...."

I like it, Plaid Adder:

:bounce:""It's not just that Bush was AWOL in 1972...the real problem is that he's AWOL *now.*"
:bounce:

We need to get this to Kerry ASAP!! While shrub is still in Crawford! Kerry can point out that, while our soldiers are loading their comrades into body bags, the appointed one is taking it easy in Crawford, resting from all his fund raising activities.

Just a short sound-bite to that effect would certainly stir some visuals on the part of the general public.

On edit: I think the press would play it over & over, being outraged at Kerry for being sooo politically incorrect! But that kind of thing is what would seriously cause a drop in bush's poll numbers... for the simple fact that IT'S TRUE, and everyone can SEE that it's true. Rove wouldn't be able to spin his way out of it.

Kerry needs to seize the day, while bush is chopping hay.

9. Excellent!
He was a coward then, and he's a coward now. Did you see him smirking and laughing during his press conference yesterday when asked about the Iraq situation? He's not taking this seriously at all, and meanwhile our troops are dying by increasing numbers everyday!

12. Is there a transcript from that little show & dance? I saw the clip
on the Daily Show last night and Bush truly wasn't making any sense or even a sentence!

10. in August 2001, he said he had a fax machine at the 'ranch' ...
so it would be a working vacation ...

I'm sure Bob Boudelang would find this sufficient.

The first month at the ready-for-TV set, Crawford, OKA the homelandy named Prairie Chapel, had me worried ... I felt something was up ... it was all too quiet ... a summer of sharks and Chandra/Condit ...

I've wondered if there really isn't an intricate network op center underground.

11. Does he drink?
This man takes a lot of vacations and long week-ends. He also has short days. Why are we paying him 400,000 for part time work? And health care.
