I predict that it will be funny, but done in such a way that people unfamiliar with the problem of paperless voting won't understand much more about it after watching the piece.

This is a COMEDY show. They're not going to get into the intricacies of paperless voting machine software, etc..

that the humor only works with folks somewhat familiar with the issues. Stewart has a knack of providing the kinds of insights that cut through the noise and nonsense. It will be interesting to see.

12. They are hammering Bush tonight!

They showed Kennedy's speech to the Brookings Inst. with the line about Iraq being Bush's Vietnam. Stewart then showed an old pic of Bush in his NG uniform, paused, then made a comment that Bush should have had his Vietnam when there was a Vietnam going on.

Also made fun of Fox News' saying they needed a "truth squad" to point out the problems with Kerry's economic plan. Stewart was incredulous over their gall.
