Draft Age DU'ers is this being discussed on campuses?

Curious cause if I was that age I'd sure be worried. I was a teen during the Vietnam war and I remember how my male friends and relatives were worried by it.

Thought about it because media-whore Howard Fineman brought this up in his MSNBC column and said he is hearing this on college campuses.

I hope if this nation is stupid enough to reselect AWOL that there is a draft and I damn well hope a lot of those young Republican storm troopers get drafted first.

5. The draft. The Republican Party and Bush in particular are strong on college campuses, much stronger than the establishment press tends to realize. But that could be jeopardized if talk of reinstating the draft gets serious. So far, administration officials have talked only about the need to ensure a steady supply of high-tech specialists in the armed forces. But if you visit colleges — and I do, of all sizes and descriptions — the undertone of worry is there, big time.

1. Patriotism

Did you ever notice how patriotic poor kids are when compared to rich kids? Patriotic poor kids volunteer for the military in droves so that all those unpatriotic rich kids can go off to college so they can join Daddy's law firm, or medical practice, or newspaper or whatever.

2. And have you noticed how many of these patriotic kids

are recent even very-recent immigrants to this country. Many not even citizens yet? Sadly too many have received that citizenship posthumously while the well-off Young Republicans cheer on AWOL, whine about liberalism on campus and support people like Hannity.
