The worst thing Kerry could do is use this testimony as a political weapon. It would undercut the whole process and let the Republicans go to their mantra of "partisan witch hunt." It's best to just let this play out naturally.

Frankly, I've yet to find anything terribly damning in any of this testimony. I think she's exaggerating the level of intensity given to Al Qaeda by the Administration, but that's to be expected. (I think Clinton's security team has exagerrated this point too. And I think Clarke's been exaggerating a lot in his comments in the past few weeks. This is what beauracrats do).

The worst thing for her is her explanation of the Aug 6 memo. She has no good answer for this.

Anyway, my prediction is that when all is said and done, the report is going to blame poor intelligence and poor planning dating back to the first Bush Administration. (Which I honestly think is fairly accurate).
