Not watching, but predict media will say Condi did 'stellar job'
I'm not interested in watching the coverage, but I am already certain the media will spin this as "Condi did great"... or "Questions about 9/11 and Bush now settled..." etc, etc.

3. American mainstream and rightwing media, anyhow
But I look forward to the articles about her on Common Dreams.

5. She Hit A Home Run Of Evasion and Lies!
GOD!! Can anybody really believe that she WANTED to do this? She looks like she's rather throw herself on the railroad tracks than ANSWER ANYTHING!

PATHETIC!

6. Absolutely correct!
Just like Colin Bowel's U.N. propaganda piece. The guy lied time and again and any even casual fact checking would have shown it. Instead the corporate media was falling all over themselves about his "totally convincing, great performance".

It will be no different with CondiSleeza. She "stood up to the pressure", "was cool under fire", "gave a compelling defense of the administration", "defanged Clarke", blah, blah, blah. Heck, they've probably got all the glowing praise already written.

15. That would be Stephanopolis' line.
He's always talking about boosts for Bush with a smile on his face. How turncoat can you get? No wonder Clinton fired him!

8. This is already off the radar screen.
The faithful will buy the spin and everyone else have already formed an opinion. The blow up in Iraq and now Afghanistan has the publics attention. It's all bad for Bush.

10. I dunno...I haven't been terribly impressed with her testimony
so far...and if the media smells blood on this, I think they'll be sure to tear open that wound and pour salt on it...

Personally, my money's on their tearing her apart.

12. The media has been laying the groundwork for the last few days
moaning on and on that the commission must be bipartisan. The media will of course conclude that the Democrats on the commission were not.

She got rocked by Ben-Veniste, he's going to get spanked by the rightwingers. He can take it.

13. Me, too. Unless she starts screaming that Bush is a traitor
the media will accept whatever she says, and might add a minor followup with their favorite say-nothing phrase, "critics disagree." Which is, of course, what critics do, by definition.

14. Not so sure I agree
There are several statements made here that can be discredited. She is not and I repeat not doing a great job. Not that she personally cannot handle this, but how long can you go on lying and covering up and spin the ineptitude.
