Didn't Clarke say that the US was on the highest alert status since
the Cuban Missle Crisis for the months of June and July and August? If the US was on the highest alert status in fifty years why did everyone in the Adminstration go on vacation? I am confused. Were we on high alert in the summer of 2001 or were we not on alert?
