Poll question: TV vs Radio: How Well Did Rice Do?
Listening to Rice's testimony on CSPAN radio, I started thinking of the 1960 presidential debate. It's been said that if you heard the debate on the radio, Nixon won, but if you saw it on TV, Kennedy won. (Having heard the 1960 debate replayed on radio a couple years ago, I would have to agree.)

Reading the threads on Rice's testimony, I began wondering if there was a media effect here as well. I'm asking for a general overall impression, not whether you agree with what she said:

1. seemed okay on the radio
it's harder to tell that she's lying when the bobblehead effect is gone

3. Even for a Small Sample,
these results are striking. I hadn't expected anything like it.

So many people on the DU thread commented on her demeanor and the way she looked. That's what led me to do the poll in the first place.

2. I also heard her on my car radio during Kerrey's questioning, and she
sounded just as terrible as she did on TV.

4. I heard her on radio, then later saw her on TV
I thought she was abysmal. However, anyone who is a strong Bush supporter will say she was great.

5. She can not give a yes or not answer. She likes to talk
She must have never lived in Maine. 500 words when a yes or no will do only makes it in the congress. Not in Maine. I frankly have more fear than ever about terrorists if she is in charge to tell the President what is going wrong or right.
