Good for Republicans?! anybody else here this?
It occured really quick but was anyone watching CNN and they brought on a republican to analyze Rice's testimony and the CNN talking-head asked him..."So was Condoleeza Rice's testimony GOOD FOR THE REPUBLICANS?"

Did anyone else here this?

Does anyone think that is a strange question? (if one didn't already know what most repubs are like). So does this mean that the fact that 9-11 is just a partisan political issue to the repubublican party is now so obviousse that networks like CNN are just glossing over it as not even worth analyzing?

1. It is partisan. It will not have a unanimous conclusion.
and will probably be discounted and ignored, but used by special interest groups in electioneering. waste of time to what could have done something to improve our security.

4. but what bothered me..
is that this reporter..can't remember her name, treated the investigation into the worst terrorist attack on American soil as some kind of political battle..as if finding out what happened was just a PR battle between parties.

5. yeah, I'm sick of it
All this SPINNING that the whole damn investigation is just partisan posturing
in an election year!

As if NONE of us, lib or con, wants to just have the TRUTH so we can PREVENT
this from happening again! It's outrageous. I'm PARTISAN because I want to
know HOW and WHY this happened and hold my ELECTED OFFICIALS accountable
so they DO SOMETHING to prevent it's reoccurrance!?!

Basically, it's ALL coming from the RIGHT WING. They DON'T want to know
what happened, DON'T care about it at ALL.

ANYTHING that *damages Bush* is their enemy, even more than Bin Laden.
They want their taxcuts, their star wars, their one party state. THEY F*CKED
UP, yet blame is for little people. They want Dubya, he can do know wrong,
and even if he DID do wrong, they don't CARE.

The Party is more important than the country. Holding the BASE is more
important than the whole country. The GOP *ONLY* represents their base
and the rest of the nation can go pound sand.

:grr:

3. Code Words
"Too Partisan" means the commission isn't showing Bush to the warrior knight in shining armor.

6. uh, excuse me, Mr. Senator...
But the commission was appointed by Republicans, has a Republican chair and has a majority of Republicans, and is being briefed ex parte by the White House counsel, Albert Gonzalez. So, I guess it is partisan, Republican partisan, that is. That means the smell is so bad that even these partisan commissioners can't cover it up with Glade.

7. This is why all of the testimony should be behind closed doors...
Same as with a jury trial, cameras in the room change everything. The point of this commission went from truth to election spinning. Too bad. The commission itself was as close to fair as would be accepted by both sides. Today's display made me sick...nothing was accomplished.
