DID Condi testify under oath?
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 02:45 PM by rocknation
I was listening to the video stream as I was typing on DU. I heard, "Raise your right hand..." I heard, "Do you swear to tell the truth, etc..." I didn't hear anything for a couple of seconds. And then the speaker invited Condi read her prepared statement! A DU-er wrote that she had simply nodded, and if she actually said "I do," she said it damned softly. I've seen plenty of court cases where witnesses were told to say "yes" instead of nodding or saying "Uh-huh" beause the word "yes" had to appear in the court record. Can she now say she can't be charged with perjury herself because technically, there's no proof that she was sworn in?

Yesterday, someone on AmAir joked that the Bush regime might claim that while the handover of Iraqi power would be on June 30, they never said it would be June 30 of this year. Suddenly I'm not laughing anymore.

And I had headphones on. Maybe the stream just dropped out, but I didn't hear complete silence--I heard room noise. Well, as long as it's on the record...

4. Oh, man, if she pulled that kind of stunt
It would be ten times worse than Clinton's "I did not have sex with that woman". Although, I grant the dittoheads would forgive and make excuses for her.
