1. Other
We have to follow Dennis Kucinich's plan. Complete withdrawal in conjunction within the context of a UN mandate to work with the people to develop a government. AND WE PAY MOST OPF THE COST OF REBUILDING BECAUSE WE BLEW IT UP.

get troops from Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, whatever. America is not going to accomplish much they way its going now.

If the UN can't fix it then leave it.

4. I can't vote in this. I honestly have no idea what we should do.
Getting the US out and the UN in makes sense I guess but if I were the UN and had to witness the US make this terrible mess in defiance of my rules, then I wouldn't exactly be excited at the prospect of going in. Then again, I'm not the UN so who knows...maybe they want to go in and clean up after us.

All the horrible things I thought would happen because of this war did. I hoped I was wrong. I prayed I was being melodramatic and spent too much time on DU, but nope. We were right from day one. I really wanted to be wrong on this though...I'll take strong evidence of WMD and Iraqi's throwing roses at our troops over this crap any day.

5. other, I suppose
there is never going to be trust between Iraq and America, and rightly so. We need to get our troops out, and also our CORPORATIONS, and let the UN in. Under the UN, without the privatization scams, the Iraqi people will at least have the impression that they are being looked-after. THEy are not getting that as we send in more troops

but of course, privatization was the whole bloody POINT to the thing :evilfrown:

9. exactly
in a bad way...

I feel bad for the Iraqis, too, their life isn't going to get easier anytime soon. There is WAY too much money being made/stolen over there for these thugs to give it up easily...

7. First and foremost!
We must change regime. The rest of the civilized world will not listen nor tolerate any further policy maneuvers by the BUSHSTAPPO!Next we must go to the UN hat in hand with a sincere apology. We can then ask for a true international coalition to oversee Iraqi reconstruction. With this done all we can look forward to in Iraq is a religious government similar to Iran. Any intelligent annalist would have known 60% Shiites would only elect a Muslim cleric. The other choice is follow Shit for brains in to a future of increased terrorism and morally bankrupt corporate governance.:puke:

13. Thanks
it's not a no win situation, but pretty damn close. I'd have to call it a toss up which is more dangerous. Iraq with Saddam or Iraq under any muslim cleric.:hurts:

missions instead of continued force. If we do this, we could be able to get by with some U.N. troops in place of ours. We should never have invaded Iraq in the first place, and no solution is perfect - but I can't see our current course doing much.

14. Iraqis have a right to self determination
and Why would the UN or anyone else want to die for "resolve" or some other bullshit?
Everyone needs to get out of Iraq and let them have their country back.

15. Beg the U.N. to get involved
We stay as part of a U.N. mission. Repair our relationships with our traditional allies. And elect Kerry for president!!!!

16. We're screwed either way
It is a blunder of epic proportions that will haunt this county for decades.

Smirk's neo-con handlers and President Cheney fucked up like no other administration has ever fucked up before.

It is a monumental mess and will lead to further radicalization of muslims who don't have much truck with us to begin with.

This is gonna fuck up security, alliances, the treasury, and anything else you can think of, not to mention untold numbers of dead and maimed for decades.

Anyone who thought ole George couldn't do too much harm because of his "smart keepers" is more of a fool than I thought 3 years ago.

We are fucked. It's just that simple.

17. We have to gain respect..and that means NO BUSH !
Edited on Thu Apr-08-04 05:30 PM by vetwife
The world will come together for America, if America
gets rid of this idealog. He has turned this into a
Holy War. Christians against Muslims. As Reported today on the news. I see it that way and I am a christian. He has hijacked our faith. He has created hatred in the world with this cowboy mentality and we will get some help once he and his regime have left and Halliburton has quit looting the taxpayer and Iraq.

We would have to mend bridges with the International community and apologize for mistakes made under Bush. Bush sure isn't going to apologize. If we had to be as humble as Pie, we must do that. Not as a sign of weakness but a sign of humanity for the sake of democracy. If we don't..Look for the mushroom cloud..It will be the last thing you will ever see. Wanna pick a Daisy anyone? Remember the ads in the 60's? And Move on's ad?
