two must see films for the younger generation (40 and below) |
|
Two very disturbing films (true ones) regarding the horrors the USA has perpertrated on other countries were relaeased in the late 60's and early 70's. One is a french (yes FRENCH) called Z and is about the overthrow of the greek govt by the cia and the subsequent "takoever" by a vicious group of greek colonels. It shows the disregard for life by the CIA and is a very disturbing film. The other is called Missing and is about the CIA again in Chile. A young american is in Chile trying to write about the events and suddenly vanishes. His father, a relatively prosperous businessman and believer in the american way, has a rude awakening when he goes to chile to try and find his son. He is constantly misled by the consulate and finally discovers his son had been murdered with 100.000's others by Pinochet and the Cia. Both are worth showing to a freeper or two.

2. Are these films readily available for home viewing? |
|
Or, are they next to impossible to find?

why would you exclude the "older generation" from your recommendations? They sound interesting enough to me.
