Please tell me I mis-heard this utterly stupid, arrogant, and disengenuous statement. I can't believe that this administration really believes what they say. I think they are all just like Rush Limbaugh who doesn't really believe half the stupid crap he says but realizes that the majority of Americans are racist, biggoted, hateful, and stupid enough to believe the ridiculous things he says. For a person of Powell's stature to say this stuff (they are all saying it so no doubt it is a Bush admin 'talking point')is really embarrassing. Did anyone else hear it or is it just me.

5. He might believe it

I was talking a bit ago with a colleague about our bombing Falluja hours after we declared a cease fire today. My normally very liberal colleague replied that "we" have to stop the insurgents or the majority Shiites will form an Islamic Republic (AKA dictatorship) and that's just not right. All rejoinders explaining what's not right with Bushcos. Iraq "strategy" feel on deaf ears.
