Who can help me verify this infuriating Wilderness Act scandal
I was at a town meeting of sorts the other day when a guy said he had learned that Bush had banned any celebrtion of the 40th anniversary of the Wilderness Act on federal property until AFTER the election.

Of course, many, many people want to celebrate this great measure.

Bush, of course, would like to deflect interest in it since his environmental record is an atrocity.

I cannot find this on any official site, though it's mentioned on the site of a couple of private groups. I can't find any authoritative statement that the * administration made this decision.

Help me out! It's important!

1. Could you contact RFK's River keeper's org? They might have
insight into or info on it:

2. NRA
Didn't bush invite a bunch of "environmental groups" to his ranch the other day? Did the groups not include the NRA, Ducks Unlimited (check out their "picture of the week" at http://www.ducks.org/ ), and Pheasants Forever (check out the picture they have posted at http://www.pheasantsforever.org/mission.php )?

It truly is "1984."

3. This is just to gain votes...
... but try not to be too hard on Ducks Unlimited. You may dislike hunting, as I do, but they spend quite a bit of their donations on preserving and restoring wetlands. I know a number of people who are members who understand that hunting and conservation go together.

Cheers.
