Paul Bremer: the anti-Midas touch

Everything this guy touches turns to crap.

As soon as he was installed as puppet-master he disbanded the Iraqi Army and sent them home to plot attacks against our troops.

Now he closes down a largely ineffective newspaper run by Mouqtada al-Sadr and lights off an insurgency that may hve succeeded in uniting the Sunni's and Shi'ites against our troops.

1. Occupation Governors are like that.

Really, why would Bremer have wanted this job? Not only do you have to worry about assassination, but the political double dealing in a foreign cultural makes his job pretty much impossible. Of course, because our goal is to secure the only asset Iraq has, the oil, makes his chances of success, nil.
