Dems (and moral Repubs like McCain) should impeach Bush now... |
|
...even if they can't get enough votes in the Congress to remove him from office.
If the voting machines really turn out to be rigged or if - heaven forbid - the terrorism experts are right the October surprise turns out to be another attack on the US and Bush manages to cancel elections and appoint himself Emperor - "history will not judge kindly" those of us who sat by now that the evidence clearly shows* Bush was derelict in his sworn duty to protect and serve.

2. Why would McCain do that? |
|
He is publicly backing Bush for re-election.

...they wouldn't even get Articles of Impeachment voted out of committee.
The impeachment fantasy is just not gonna happen. Let it go and focus on making sure Bush is voted out in November.
Besides, after the Republicans wasted everyone's time impeaching Clinton, I am not even sure if being impeached carries the same sort of serious weight that it once did.
"the terrorism experts are right the October surprise turns out to be another attack on the US and Bush manages to cancel elections and appoint himself Emperor"
I am far more worried about Bush actually winning the election than I am about conspiracy theories. Anything can happen between now and November, and Bush can still win without declaring himself emperor or relying on crooked voting machines.

6. I have to agree with you |
|
I want to impeach him too but it isn't going to happen. All you have to do is watch the House of Reps. and even the Senate it's not going too happen. I just don't see it we don't have honest Republicans what we have is right wing radicals in the House of Reps. and the Senate isn't much better.
May I also add we work on taking back the House and the Senate. I want the House of Reps. back! I want the Progressive and Black Caucus members to head up the committee's in the House.

but the more the word "impeachment" is associated with him, and thrown out there, the more tarnished he becomes.

7. McCain is not moral. He is fully behind everything Bush is doing and |
|
has done including obstructing 9-11 and keeping important public documents from release. His role within the neocon camp is to play the same game colin plays. He plays the moderate so that folks like yourself thing he is moral and do foolish things like keep him in power, or, even more foolish, make him our VP.

8. OK - maybe McCain's more opportunist than moral |
|
... but he seems like the kind of guy that could be persuaded to "relieve the commander in chief" of his command.
History will show that Bush should have been impeached for letting 9/11 happen.
Are there ANY Repub Congresspeople who could be persuaded to get on the right side of history??
