we know condi perjured herself....
at least on one occassion. and many others where the opportunity presented itself, she pulled a reagan on the commission and simply couldn't recall.

it seems pretty evident that the august 6 pdb was more than a mere "historical" summation, or document if you will, regarding al-qa'ida for the president. and of course, it's now being widely reported that is was indeed, a little more than an "historical document" and contained what condi, under oath, said it did not.

now, i know a lot here were worried about the pdb being declassified, and ending up much ado about nothing, but, watching the hearings, and seeing the body language of the commissioners, and in particular their "oh bitch you *lie*...." laughter and smirks when they knew she was being a little less than honest in response to their questioning, i think it's going to be big....

and if you noticed, it was mainly the democratic commissioners calling repeatedly for that pdb to be made public and declassified in full. i don't believe they'd even seen all of it, but enough as it were to keep pressing the issue......

condi was fairly adept at covering *most* of her tracks, but she royally fucked that one up, and they're sweating.

now let me take you down a slippery slope, of my own design sure, but a seeming possibility....

of course, none of this will mean anything if we have no one willing to call condi on her perjury and summarily hold her accountable for that with no fristesque bluffs..... let's face it; our democratic reps and senators have, for the most part, been chickenshit.

if that is hurdled.... condi's done. and i have a feeling she was tossed to the wolves anyway as a sacrifice to the alter of chimp. only, some part of me doesn't really believe this wench will go down for this administration, not alone anyway, particularly if she could plea bargain herself a better deal by providing information about the higher-ups and those surrounding them.... we've seen how so-called "constitutional principles" go straight out the window when it comes to political expediency with these people, and, they will again when the issue is pressed.

and besides, condi even looks like a rat :P

seems like maybe a stretch, but all the pieces are beginning to fall into place..... they just have to be followed up.

1. She is a forceful liar. But who is going to call for her imprisonment?
Certainly not the Republicans. There will be little follow up except for the Dems who will keep insisting that the Bush admin had ample intel to do more than they did.

No one is making an issue about the fact that coming into office, the Bush administration was focused on undoing anything that the Clinton administration had done, thus they ignored the Hart Commission findings and gave a nod to Israel to do whatever they wanted with the Palestinians which in no small way inflamed and enraged bin Laden followers and other Islamic militants. And since it appears that nothing will change with this administration we should expect everything to get worse instead of better. My advice to all of you in the market is after the next run up....sell, sell, sell. It is only a matter of a few months before the bottom falls out again. Put you money in gold and ride it out!

2. will democrats establish a pattern
that begins with dismantling everything the previous admin{re: gw} laid on the table for them?
boy -- you got me.
there is no way on god's little green acre that noise regarding al queda threats in the u.s. didn't reach the white house.
will responsible democrats take this and slay the dragon?
i just don't know -- it's possible that enough noise out here will get them to do it -- but i really don't know.

3. hmm.....
i'd like to be optimistic, but they've dropped the ball on things like this several times, or failed to even pick it up entirely.

looks like this about to blow up, and they need to press it until everything is squeezed out.

4. Bushco PR
They are trying to get the jump on this by claiming that
this was not a warning. CNN is pumping or should I say pimping that out already.
