Military Leadership? (glancing at Iraq this morning) Nope.

9/11? (glancing at "Bush Knew" headlines this morning) Nope.

Maybe they'll do a "The Passion of the Dubya" spot?

22. have you noticed, though...
That so many of the pro-Bush* calls to CSPAN are either from religious zealots or an occasional hillbilly.

His base is shrinking daily. You seldom hear what appears to be a well-educated conservative Republican calling to defend Bush* policies, because they *can't*.

28. Yea
The only reason that they can come up with to justify any of their positions is because of religion. Homosexual Marriage? God is (supposedly) against it and that's all they need (or can come up with). The war in Iraq? God wants us to be charitable and help liberate the Iraqi people (from their bodies). The Economy? God is punishing us for considering Homosexual Marriage.

I have several reactionary fundamentalist holy-roller relatives. I'm actually going down to their house to celebrate Easter today. I'm sure that God will be the center of their conversation, but I would like to know what their view on slavery is.

After all, the Bible condones it...

37. I was watching
NOW last night and a woman (forgot the name) who is a religious scholar was discussing religion (of course!). Said something to the effect of God being so far above humans in his thoughts that mere human's couldn't begin to understand God and that to imagine one "knew" what God thought was stupid. Many of these fundies believe they "know" God's mind and that does show a certain amount of arrogance and misconception, doesn't it?

They might argue with you that they don't feel they know God's mind, but they'll turn around and tell you who God hates. How do they know? Even if it could be proven that God did hate someone 2000 years ago, he could have changed his mind, unless they presume that God is rigid, unchanging, and downright mean.

29. That's the kind of crap that infuriates me about Washington Journal.
Just when I think people are wising up, some dumb asshole calls in and blows my confidence in the human race right out of the damn water.

I sat and listened to caller after caller say things to the effect of "They attacked us first" or "We had to take the fight to the terrorists" or some other stupid shit like that.

Gah. :grr:

41. Did you by any chance hear me earlier
in the program? About Iraq being Vietnam? I said not yet - but when we had another granite wall with 58,000 names,it would be. Said bush was chicken little hiding in Crawford. We invaded Iraq - asked if Americans & the admin would pick up a gun and defend if we were invaded. Said I would and that's what Iraqi's are doing and bush is to blame for the deaths of our military.

33. Before reading any other replies - 'this is a GOOD thing" -
to quote Martha Stewart. I hope CSPAN gets a call a day, at least, like this. In fact, I'd like to see it on the nightly news. Broadcast it far and wide across every corner of the country for all to see and hear. These crazy people will scare the crap out of "normal" people and help show * for what he really is.
