"This is Hell" streaming at 10am EDT --Today's lineup here
THIS WEEK'S SHOW: Today, Saturday, April 10th, 2004
This Is Hell airs live every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM (US central time) on WNUR 89.3 FM in Chicago, and live all over the rest of the world via RealPlayer and Windows Media Player. Just go to WNUR's website (http://www.wnur.org) and click on either the RealAudio or Windowsmedia button found just beneath the heading, "Listen Online."

This week, This is Hell will be abbreviated to two hours and forty-five minutes in length. That means we're off-air by 11:45 am (central) so make sure to get up early and catch the entire show.

Our guests this week include:

* Mohamad Bazzi is Middle East bureau chief for Newsday and recently won the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism. Mohamad's most recent story is entitled, "Al-Sadr's revolt pressures clerics" (http://www.newsday.com/news/printedition/world/ny-woshia093747877apr09,0,3137828.story?coll=ny-worldnews-print).

* Bill Christison returns to This is Hell. Bill joined the CIA in 1950 and worked on the analysis side of the Agency for over 28 years. In the 1970s he served as a National Intelligence Officer for for Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Africa, which is a principal adviser of the Director of Central Intelligence. Before his retirement in 1979, he was Director of the CIA's Office of Regional and Political Analysis, a 250-person unit. Bill's most recent article is entitled "9/11 Commission is Bush's New Lapdog: It Refuses to Even Question US Policies that Encourage Terrorism." * fired WKZO radio host Kevin Vandenbroek who broke the story of the 'bribery' scandal encircling Republican US Congressman Nick Smith of Michigan. You can listen to that interview by clicking here.

1. Darn, just got home in time to catch the last part of
Kevin's story on Medicare coercion. It is a real shame that everyone who is speaking out against big corporate interests are all losing their jobs.

AirAmerica needs shows such as TIH. Such great interviews where one actually learns something.
