What would the "Founding Fathers" say
About the proposition that this is a "Christian Nation?"

"Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between church and State." Thomas Jefferson

"Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprize, every expanded prospect." James Madison

About greater taxation for the rich?
"Taxes should be proportioned to what may be annually spared by the individual." Thomas Jefferson

About wealth for corporations to be made in Iraq?
"Finally, there seem to be but three Ways for a Nation to acquire Wealth. The first is by War as the Romans did in plundering their conquered Neighbours. This is Robbery. The second by Commerce which is generally Cheating. The third by Agriculture the only honest Way; wherein Man receives a real Increase of the Seed thrown into the Ground, in a kind of continual Miracle wrought by the Hand of God in his favour, as a Reward for his innocent Life, and virtuous Industry." Benjamin Franklin

About the Patriot Act?
"They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Benjamin Franklin

About Bush's intellect?
"Enlightened statesmen will not always be at the helm" James Madison

On dissent equaling being un-patriotic?
"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." George Washington

On election fraud?
"We should be unfaithful to ourselves if we should ever lose sight of the danger to our liberties if anything partial or extraneous should infect the purity of our free, fair, virtuous, and independent elections." John Adams

On beer?
"Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." Benjamin Franklin

That said: Cheers!
