isn't the PDB old news?
What am I missing about this, what is supposed to be new about it, other than that it's going to be released? I recall much discussion about the "Aug. 6 memo" here at DU, isn't this the same thing?

1. Yes, it is
We're just picking up where we left off after the McKinney flap shook a lot of this info into the news. Lotsa time wasted, lotta ground to make up, lotta apologies owed Cynthia.

2. You are right Cocoa, However
it is new to people who don't give a damn about the news or their country. Hopefully, some lazy americans are out there slapping their foreheads and saying "Oh, now I get it." Hopefully, some conservative morons are secretly looking in the mirror and saying, "those bastards at DU were right all along."

3. For the last two year people that knew or believed that the PDB ...
existed were considered nuts and tinfoilers.

Now everyone knows that the tinfoilers were right.

4. yup
the washington post had the title of it in print two years ago.

Aug. Memo Focused On Attacks in U.S.
Lack of Fresh Information Frustrated Bush
By Bob Woodward and Dan Eggen
Washington Post Staff Writers
Sunday, May 19, 2002; Page A01

The top-secret briefing memo presented to President Bush on Aug. 6 carried the headline, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.," and was primarily focused on recounting al Qaeda's past efforts to attack and infiltrate the United States, senior administration officials said.

So why did Ben-Veniste say the Commission was forbidden to say the title out loud until Condi answered the question on Thursday?

8. Probably because it wasn't officially confirmed
If I remember, the only reason they knew the title was because Ari used it as a point of defense for Bush's vigilance against terrorism.

6. Yes it is old news..........
but everything seems to be new to the media. Why? Because they never did their job from the git-go. They didn't know cause they were lazy!and they just didn't want to know. They were all weak jellyfishes.

I keep saying: how come a middle aged white woman in WV knows this stuff and the powers that be do NOT know? Why is that? Shheeeeshh

9. That is the truth.
My intel network was better than Bush's on the WMD issues.

What a joke.

Are they actually clueless or just pretending?
