Has anyone else heard anything about this?
Something about the Bush Admin providing a "Visa Express" program for Saudis - - and was it provided as a reward for the 60,000 Muslim votes he got in Florida?
Supposedly, Kevin Phillips will have something on this in the LA Times this weekend.
If true, this really sounds like a bombshell to me.

2. Heard about it yesterday on NOW with Bill Moyers. If it's true, then it's |

simply another bit of ammo for the LIHOP believers. Because the FBI, CIA, and every other intelligence agency has know for years that Saudi Arabia is and always has been a major source of funding for Islamic terrorist organizations. It doesn't take a great leap of intelligence to understand that if you hand out visas like prizes in a box of cereal to people who just may have an axe to grind, you just might end up with more than a few who don't exactly have your best interests at heart.
The Saudi government (it is rumored) gave bin Laden lots of money just so he wouldn't attack their own corrupt government. Prince Bandar, the Saudi prince that was on one of the planes allowed to depart after 911, was a known funder of the terrorists. His name is the first on one of the passenger lists on the flights that left the country.

3. I learned about it shortly after 9/11 |
|
It came out in alot of the online research that got started up immediately after the event. I think I first came across it while researching John O'Neill, the retired FBI counterterrorism expert who was (presumably) killed in one of the WTC towers. (did you know that HE was actively prevented from investigating the Cole bombing?)
I don't have everything bookmarked from my researches back then -- since I must have read literally THOUSANDS of pages information in the ensuing months after 9/11 -- so I'm not sure if I can trace back to that particular piece of info. But it's been out there somewhere for the last 2 1/2 years.

to the fact that after September 11th, Powell did not shut down the issuance of visas from Saudia Arabia?
That woman (2 of them?) who ran it over there (received an award and $$$ after she returned here) cranked out at least 100K visas in the 10 months following September 11th.
When Powell was asked why he didn't close it down, he said something to the effect that he was too busy with other things to be concerned about what the State Dept was doing over there.

5. heard about this WAY back |
|
it was called an 'expedicted visa program' and, get this, it applied ONLY to Saudi citizens.
and, remember, shortly after the bushies invaded the WH, one of the first things they did was have Ashcroft 'lay off' the Saudis...
it's one of the HUGE scandals that rarely gets attention.

6. If it really is connected to delivering the Muslim vote |
|
in Florida, why isn't it a crime of the highest magnitude?

7. Archive listing a bunch of Bush-Saudi connections |

The visa express thing is old. Some of the links here may be old too. http://www.upsizethis.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=21923

9. IIRC, a member of the White House press corps asked Ari Fliescher |
|
about the express visas and was detained by the secret service. I think it was a WSJ reporter.
