welcome us with open arms as their liberators.

It hasn't quite worked out like that.

4. Flowers in the streets
There was a short time right after Saddam's fall where on tv there were pictures of many Iraqis celebrating and very happy. But unfortunatley, now instead of flowers in the streets there are bombs directed at U.S. soldiers.

I personally don't.

That's not to say we made the right call in prematurely invading; or in how we've handled Iraq since then. But let's not pretend that Saddam was a good guy who we randomly decided to invade.
