Shall we start drafting Impeachment papers on PDB Eve?
Will the PDB reveal the smoking gun or will it be used as a whipping post?

2. Damn right. The PDB is one of many smoking guns at this point...
...and there will be many more to come.

13. Yup.
They are fucked. For a while I thought this time would never come, but what the Bush Admin. did was *SO* awful that almost NOBODY could justify covering it up.

3. Yes and no...

I would like to see him Impeached but not for this(i.e. About lying to the world about Iraq’s “immanent threat” to the US) so far this seems a little ambiguous, but time will tell.

6. Well -
we now know they had a really good idea EXACTLY who was responsible for the 9/11 attacks because the PDB told them. This lends credence to the fact that the supposed Al Qaeda/Iraq relationship used to gain support for the Iraq war was a lie, AND that shrub's 'surprise' over the planes hitting the WTC was a really good bit of acting.

If anything, the PDB will raise more questions. Drip, drip, drip...

4. Done, just ...
google: Boyle impeachment

and you'l get a few thousand hits where you can read the impeachment papers Frank Boyle drew up, and are sitting in the bottom drawer of every Democratic House member. I don't doubt new ones are being drawn up as we speak, with all the latest revelations, although the essentials haven't really changed.

Boyle was on the board of Amnesty, and teaches international law at Urbana, and he's been firing off salvos at Shrub since the putz was Governor. I think he wrote a few briefs on DP appeals about the illegality of executing Mexicans, but I'd have to dig deep to find them. I'd also have to dig around to find the stuff he's written about the illegality of the Iraq war, and how there were so many other legal ways to find Osama-- with a lot of help from our friends.

Now, the trick is to get a few Republicans on board.

5. Getting Republicans on board
This is the hard part. All I have seen lately are Dems praising Republicans...Zell, Liberman, Biden etc...

It's like some of our party don't agree with us Liberals.

10. The PDB combined with the Clarke/Dean books
make me want to march on Washington DC for impeachment. With a GOP House, therefore Judiciary, only protests in DC and around the country _might_ get impeachment started.

11. There is not enough hate yet
Only the Democratic base has the hate and rage against Bush. There is a fine line from basic hatred to general hatred...it must be breeched carefully because a civil war could emerge.

15. Impeachment is not about hate
Letting 9-11 happen after that aug 6 PDB is dereliction of duty.

12. This administration need to be tied up so that they can
NOT issue pardons for anyone or anything. Long prison terms for several hundred bu$h&co criminals need to be handed down in the next few years.

16. With a GOP-dominated legislative branch? Why waste your time?
Look, these guys are in it for the long haul. Whether or not bush richly deserves it, the GOP has far too much to lose by having a second Nixon situation. Their donor base wouldn't forgive them, not to mention history itself.

It's much preferable from the GOPers pov to let bush jr. slip into the dustbin by losing an election than allow a bill of impeachment to leave committee.

If we all march on DC, and deliver the petitions, the House will have to deal with it, GOP controlled or not!
