Tet rule no. ONE - lock out all locals.
In Viet Nam, during times like Tet, the first rule was to lock the locals out of all compounds. You never knew 100% which were safe to be around.

I fear they have not learned that lesson from Viet Nam like may others. There are probably 2-1 locals to Americans in the "safe" Green Zone. One day the word will go out to kill Americans and a lot of those friendly Iraqi will have knifes and kill the first American they see. In Iraq, this could be signaled by the ringing of the call to prayers horns.
