Indict Tenet for perjury immediately

Tenet said on the stand today in the 9/11 commission hearings that he did not meet with Bush while Bush was on vacation. A CIA spokeman now claims Tenet did meet with Bush on vaction.

Indict Tenet for perjury immediately. The CIA says Tenet lied under oath today. Fine. Indict him and make him swear on a witness stand in a courtroom which story is correct.

I'm tired of the lies from the neo-cons. Truth matters. It's time to make them realize it.

11. Why is that damaging? This is from the WH.

The problem is Tenet's testimony conflicts directly with the WH story. Was the testimony an honest mistake? Maybe, but doubtful. From the testimony I just heard (rerun on CSPAN), Tenet was clear that he didn't go to Texas in August. I see no reason why he'd lie about that....and he'd certainly remember if he took a trip to the ranch in August, I'd think.

But I can see lots of reasons why the WH would like us to believe that Dimson was in constant contact with the CIA on the "gathering threat".

The refute was not from Tenet, but a CIA spokesman. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this was a WH political operative who made the statement. George Tenet will have to either accept this or refute it. One way or the other, he's going to have to coment on it.

He's a Clinton appointee, and as DCI, he knows where the bodies are buried. Richard Clarke gets along with him, so lets give Tenet a pass.

I'm certain that Tenet told the truth today, and the CIA is trying to cover that. The CIA spokesman presser isn't under oath. Tenet was.

This is to force the hand of the neo-cons to admit under oath that Bush did not meet with Tenet at the Crawford Ranch while Bush was on vacation.

Clearly someone is lying. Tenet had no reason to lie about not being at the ranch. Conversely, the WH has a big interest in making the public believe that Dimson was on top off the gathering threat while he played in Texas.

8. Tenet isn't a neo-con.

He may have said something like he doesn't remember going to Texas in August. That will probably let him off the hook. But I do think they should document all lies being told during this hearing. That way, they can unimpeach the honorable Bill Clinton for his so called lie "under oath".

The Republicans spent $72MM+ of taxpayer's money and conducted a 12 year Inquisition on Clinton's personal life. The FBI had 100's of agents running around Arkansas taking depositions of gold-diggers. In the end, "0" criminal indictments, while terrorists were taking flight lessons. When Clinton did react to Al Qaida, the Republicans were screaming "wag the dog".

But will these same Republican cowards hold this unelected fraud accountable for lies that have sent 600 of our sons and daughters to their deaths because the Bush oil interests wanted Iraq's oil?

Clinton might have had sex, but the American people got screwed...and you apologists just aren't smart enough to realize the difference......the joke's on you.

12. I think Tenet

like most in the intelligence community, knew that something serious was about to happen, and it seems according to Clarke atleast, that Tenet and him did try to warn the administration on several occasions.

I also have little doubt that Tenet and most in the intelligence comminity didn't think the war on Iraq would make much sense.

However, Tenet has proven himself to be inept regardless, and definetely cowardly and spineless.

I would prefer that Kerry doesn't keep him if he's elected.

14. Someone posted Bush's itinerary for August a few days ago.

I can't search for it, but I'd be very interested to see where he was on the 24th. He was most definitely on the road and moving around in that time frame.....wonder if someone here can repost the itinerary on this thread?
