in his meticulously creafted column, Billy 'Small Willy' wrote that Richard Ben-Veniste would be too 'partisan' for a cabinet of Kerry's.

For someone who understands etymology and grammar better than anyone else, but especially better than the Preznit (that's 'Mr. Preznit' to you, pal) he is one dumb-assed sonofabitch. Ashcroft of course, could not be regarded as 'partisan' now, could he? Partisanship is only valid as an accusation if it's aimed at Dems, right Bill?

You putz - as a Jew, I am so ashamed that his intellect was wasted writing speeches for Nixon and being the apologist for every stone-age conservative to come down the pike.

P.S. I e-mailed a DU piece/rant from last night's insanity/tie explosion to a newspaper reporter of a major metropolitan rag, and she sent it right to the top and it was well received by members of the editorial board. One person can make a difference.

1. Tucker Carlson must have heard about this.

He was ranting about Ben-Veniste on "Crossfire" today about his going on every TV show just to promote himself, in a "very partisan" way. What an ass.

2. Don't get me started with 'Tucker'

he is the worst - the worst of all of them. He, for some reason, offends me EVEN MORE THAN NOVAK DOES, it's hard to believe. He is a slimy, self-serving, lying, hypocritical, sneering, snide, repulsive little 'man', whose article about being falsely accused of rape was just so smarmy and 'sad' in a stupid way. All of a sudden, he was an accused man who was innocent, unlike all those whom he's attacked over the years who never had a fair trial, but were convicted by this slimy little creep.

Sadly, Safire has used his gift for language and grammar for the dark side. Even more sad, Tucker's gift is just a bad attraction to bow ties. I'm sure there are places for both of them in Dante's circles of Hell. One will be more superficial and self-serving than the other.
