Our DU soldiers are going BACK to Iraq..
My friend Mary said tonight that Jimmy called, and instead of Afghanistan, they are going back to Iraq.. The worst part is that since they have a year's worth of "battle experience", they will be sent to the "front of the line".. The scuttlebutt is that the "new guys" are not ready for what they have encountered.

They are devastated.. They worried for a year+ and now they have to start worrying again.. Rumor has it that some from Afghanistan will be going as well, so now there will be even fewer soldiers there..

They are scheduled to go back to Iraq in June.. Just iin time for the "fireworks"..

The military must be getting worried.. The closer it gets to Bush's "phony turn-over date", the more chaotic it will be..

I told her to relay the message to him.. that when they get settled, to send more names, and we'll start the care packages again..:(

Poor kids.. They went through hell, thought they were out , and now they are going back.. Stop-loss is in effect too, so the ones whose tour was "up", cannot leave.. A shifty draft..

6. There's something medieval about this, as if the military OWNS them.
Do our soldiers really have no rights at all once they sign up?

To our DU military families -- thank you for letting us know your stories. These times must be unbearable for you, and the rest of us need to be reminded of that, to help us keep the reality of it alive in our minds. You are in my mind every time I read and hear about what's happening there.

Hoping for peace, for you, and for Iraq.

7. Story on our local news about Kansas soldiers
They were to be flown out on Easter and returned in the next few days. Well...they got new orders and were turned right back around for several more months in Iraq.

9. Military families speak out
the numbers are growing. http://www.mfso.org
Its time to not only send packages, but email and fax and call your senators and congress and demand Bush resign, and demand the troops be brought home now.
we cannot continue allowing them to die for these lies.

13. That is terrible....
From all that I am reading, there is going to be a bunch of pissed off military familes -- Bush made them a PROMISE, and now he is breaking that promise.

Keep up posted about the guys and their addresses.
