Bush, as commander-in-chief, has let down the troops
His planless policy is killing the troops in Iraq, and he should be at the very least fired for incompetence and receive a dishonorable discharge from the American people.

Bush is not a fit leader for the brave men and woman in the armed forces.

1. "the troops disappointed me," Bush
you have it wrong, it's the troops that are disappointing Bush, not the other way around. Why doesn't he make an appearance to increase morale, I'm sure they all would like to see him after they've been ordered to stay another year.

Yes, he really said that...
I couldn't believe there wasn't more press about it, I was appalled. There's a link somewhere regarding the transcripts from his recent speech, it'll be in there.

5. Any army that kills its own people would disappoint me
Our expectation that Iraqis would kill other Iraqis at our behest is unrealistic.

8. I think he meant the Iraqi troops
Once we transfer sovereignty, we'll enter into a security agreement with the government to which we pass sovereignty, the entity to which we pass sovereignty. And we'll need to be there for a while. We'll also need to continue training the Iraqi troops. I was disappointed in the performance of some of the troops. Some of the units performed brilliantly; some of them didn't, and we need to find out why.

If they're lacking equipment, we'll get them equipment. If there needs to be more intense training, we'll get more intense training. But, eventually, Iraq's security is going to be handled by the Iraqi people, themselves.

To me, that reads like it's the Iraqi troops he's criticizing. I think that's how most people are reading it too; that's why no one has complained about it.

7. And yet you see them going ga ga over that on Good Morning America
Charlie going on and on about Bush "proving his leadership" by ordering this. Dead boys and girls=leadership. Not ever in my book. He is an ass.

9. John F. Kerry has actually lead men under fire
and he has spent a career looking out for the best interests of both our enlisted forces and veterans. If I were in the military it would seem the choice for prez this year is a no brainer.

10. Bush's actions are a threat to our national security
Right now our military is bogged down in Iraq, useless elsewhere.

We have abandoned the war on Al Queda because of this folly.

We are also completely vulnerable to attack elsewhere, and at home, because our entire military, including our national guard, is tied down in Iraq with no sign of ever leaving.

Bush is a threat to the United States of America.

He should be arrested and replaced.
