1. What makes you think that? |
|
Could a router keep them from doing that?

I don't know about this but thought maybe someone here might know if this is BS...
Peace DR _______________
Keelynet - trojans and other spy-progs
Dear XXXX
when does it get into your brain that the entire internet was a militray idea AND all the major OS software is designed with that stealth use in mind
NSA keys and other things sometime discovered as "security" problems when they are not good enough hidden in the system are simply Big Brothers way of utilizing the Millions of internet computers as distrinuted partial units . . . . .only remember you are with the newer OSs enticed to keep your comp on all the time . . . . . .
most normal people use only 5% of the current computing power in pentiums anyways- what do you you think happens with the rest .....
unfortunately too many are simply ignorant and complacent about this
and LINUX is/was only a free 32-bit Kernel - all the other "peripheral software comes from other programmers/companies and most not for free or rather if its free it has most likely the additional "interest" perfectly hidden - since Linux is more stable than Windows it is perhaps even of more interest to stealth use from outside
or maybe we have rivaling Big Brothers one using Windows the other using Linux well all this is now "conspiracy paranoia" - or perhaps not ?
until recently I was safe using an old 486 for internet /e-mail with old Win3 but THEN my ISP upgraded to Windows 2003 server and now 16bit access is no longer allowed OR RATHER SUPPORTED - for " security reasons" - they abandonned all upload/mail send from 16 bit non Microsoft software - and Mocrosoft only supports 32 bit now then only download of mail was still possible however only with the microsoft dialer my trusted Trumpet-Winsock was blocked . . ..so was Pegasus Mail
finally I used then Win98SE on a pentium2 only to see my comp being hijacked and spooling data like crazy during internet connection
so far the freeSygate firewall put an end to that and the free Grisoft AVG virus scanner caught everything so far
but nearly each time log on my comp is shortly after scanned for unused TCP ports as the Sygate firewall lets me know
so even with "obsolete" older computers you are no longer out of interest if you use a 32 bit OS
my recommedation keep anything important in an other system not connected to the internet -even if it is "old / obsolete" and print out important things for your own record keeping - you never know how your hard drive data may be changed _______________

Whenever i make a comment that is against the COUP leader or his policies, i always leave a nice little howdy to John Ashcroft. Just my little way of telling them that i can smell them 25 nodes away!
Hey Ashcroft.....go fuck yourself!

and don't even get started on Carnivore, Eschelon and everything else. These computers may be a tool for us, but they are also a tool for them, too...

9. Well, the rallying point is our US Constitution not PATRIOT ACT |

I'm an American and with those that defend US not traitors in authority:grr: BTW, here is an article about NSA hypnosis online http://www.kimsoft.com/2000/nsa-psy.htm

U.S. Government tracking website usage from users
... would you change anything you say if you were sure someone was looking? If not, then forget about it.
OTOH, if you really want to bore the socks off them, we ladies will be happy to discuss, at length, our individual gynecological problems or the difficult births of each of our children... will that help?
