Sacrifices for Sycophants
The steady stream of dead soldiers returning from Iraq is one of the saddest things I've seen in my life. Honored by their comrades and their families - hidden from public sight and largely ignored by the government of the country for which they have made the ultimate sacrifice.

A "president" that doesn't read and whose grand vision is perpetual Global War on Terror. But don't worry the great brain-box assures us that the war is 'winnable' - though it will require 'sacrifice'. This from two "men" who have never known the meaning of the word. Tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. $14 refund checks and dead son's, daughters, husbands, and wives for the rest.

While the wounded linger in theatre and quonset huts in Georgia, dick "wad" cheney has a retinue of physicians in tow wherever he goes in case he has duracell crisis.

Vietnam, Vietnam, Vietnam,

Mrs. Brown we're sorry to have to tell you that your son has died in - Iraq.

1. The wounded are lingering in quonset huts in Georgia?
You wouldn't be exaggerating just a wee bit?

2. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's heard these reports.
There is a triage process where people w/o life threatening injury have had to wait at a base in GA for up to two months to get attention at Walter Reed or other military hospital capable of fitting them with prosthesis or other other complex procedure. Walter Reed's overcrowded wards has been the topic of several news reports.

3. Awaiting the fitting of a prosthesis
is a long ways from lingering in a quonset hut in Georgia. There are many other military hospitals all over the US that can accomodate the wounded.
