This is written by a senior Republican in our area. One of our DFA mailing list talked to him, and he is very angry with his party. Most agree this election is no longer just about Democrats and Republicans, but very much about issues.

1. Deceived the American people on the reasons for the Iraq War.

2. Established a pre-emptive war policy.

3. Service men and women killed (530) and wounded (2,800).

4. Cut the Veterans Affairs budget $1.8 billion.

5. Avoided Vietnam active duty and with Daddy's help (Rep. Bush), was transferred from the Texas to Alabama National Guard to assist in a senator's reelection campaign....."Lots more reasons in the link.

12. Cut $35 million in funding for doctors to get advanced pediatric training.
13. Cut by 50% funding for research into renewable energy sources.
14. Revoked rules that reduced the acceptable levels of arsenic in drinking water.
15. Blocked rules that would require federal agencies to offer bilingual assistance to non-English speaking persons. This, from a candidate who would readily fire-up his Spanish-speaking skills in front of would-be Hispanic voters.
