How can I obtain an absentee ballot in CA?
After reading many informative articles by Bev Harris and others on the dangers of Diebold rigging the 2004 election, I have decided to vote absentee ballot. I think this would be safer rather than waiting to see if my district is getting rid of stamped ballots for the dreaded paper-trail-free computer. How can I obtain an absentee ballot? Any thoughts on whether its better to mail it in, or just bring it to the ballot box and stuff it in myself?

2. Contact your County Registrar.
If you've already registered you may need to go in to office to select absentee ballot option. If you haven't registered yet, do so!..., and choose an absentee ballot. It gets mailed to you and you return via mail. (You may be able to drop off at the Registrar's office) You can't stuff it in the ballot box on voting day.
