Yesterday, Mr. Tenet claimed that he didn't see Mr. Bush at all during the month of August 2001. Later, the CIA came out and explained that Mr. Tenet had made a mistake, and he did brief Mr. Bush on August 17, 2001. (or August 11...I'm not sure.)
The fact is, he was in Crawford on August 24, 2001 also. The significance of that day is the fact that Mr. Tenet claimed to have been briefed on Moussoui on August 23, 2001...one day earlier.
Bush had to have been told.

The CIA briefings, I have on our porch, the end of our porch looking out over the lake. When Tenet came up, that's where we visited, out there. You know, everybody wants to see the ranch, which I'm proud to show it off.
So George Tenet and I -- yesterday, we piled in the new nominees for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Vice Chairman and their wives and went right up the canyon.
