The Real Bush Record
If Bush voters in 2000 would have known the following, would they have voted for him?

** The economy would be in a deep recession for two years
** The deficit would be at a record high
** Unemployment would reach the highest rate since Herbert Hoover
** Gas prices would double
** We would be at war with Iraq again with 100K+ troops in the Gulf
** A company for which the VP served on the Board of Directors would be awarded a multi-billion dollar defense contract within that conflict
** We would be at war with Iraq on the basis of a terrorist attck on NY and DC that would kill 3000+ Americans, even though there was no intelligence link to Iraq
** The government would pass legislation that in the name of protecting its citizens, which would greatly curtail constitutionally guaranteed freedoms

That's the REAL Bush record. Let's see some ads taking this on point by point

1. I hate the guy, but in the interest of being honest. . .

this is NOT the highest unemployment rate since Herbert Hoover. The unemployment rate was higher as recently as Reagan. It is the highest number of jobs lost (different, and in some ways worse) since Hoover.

Gas prices have not doubled! Sheesh. They are up what...20% and in "real dollars" (adjusted for inflation) gas prices are still lower than they were in the late 70s.

In many ways, the things you listed are nothing compared to what he is doing to the environment OR that he has alienated the US from our traditional foreign friends.

2. All That, and...
you left out one important detail.

That's not shrub's fault, it was Clinton's penis that caused all that.
;)
