Who's Afraid of bin Ladin?
I know i sure as hell am. The "we are war's sons" statement from his latest tape sent a chill down my spine. It's not that he's such a big bad bogeyman - it's just that our side is so weak. In spite of our military power - what's to protect us from * dozing off and comletely forgetting about protecting the country. We've already seen how his advisors are ready to follow his - strike that - cheney's lead w/o question or reserve. Our expertise seems to be exclusively in the arena of pissing people off. Bad combo - inept, inattentive, perhaps psychotic bush and totally focused, determined enmity from bin Ladin and his followers.

Condi did get one thing right: "we're still not safe" and IMHO we're less safe.

The neocons have other plans quite apart from the iraq project. There's still their version of star-wars - episode II or III now - I forget. Their ability to stay focused is a dubious proposition at best.

bin Ladin doesn't strike me as the type of person that forgets anything.

2. Did you see that repug on Cross Fire?
he had the nerve to say that "at least Clarke's gone". The very man that warned them repeatedly and the first they called on when the attacks happened. Scary as hell.

8. no
I stopped watching the corporatista cable media long ago! Your right though it's scary as hell! Republicans are stupid they'd rather people die than their admitting mistakes or giving up some of their ill gotten power.

From Clarke's book there are many others not there besides him that's pretty scary too. I loaned my copy out so I can't tell you the names right now.

I'm not all that afraid of Osama I refuse to live in fear it's what he wants and what * wants they can forget it.
