Tinfoil Theory About Tuesday's Press Conference
Well, not a tinfoil theory, more of an observation. Did anyone notice how His Holiness held his press conference during a week when Jon Stewart is apparently doing reruns? You KNOW Jon would/could have lit King George up after that performance. And I truly believe that out of all the pundits/talking heads/talk show hosts/etc., they truly fear Jon the most.

1. I think the timing...
.... was strictly related to the drubbing Bush* is taking in public opinion - based on the 911 commission and the escalating conflict in Iraq.

2. I Know
I wasn't being strictly serious about that. I'm just saying... the timing was beneficial in that regard.

4. Still
I'd bet they were happy when they realized Daily Show wouldn't be around.

5. Something tells me Mr. Stewart will be unable to resist covering it.
The footage of Bush alone is classic tragic-comedy. They will likely give us a report upon their return.

Did anyone hear Colin Quinn on Tough Crowd Weds. night? In his monologue about the press conference, he said you can't be asked to whom you will you be turning Iraq over to and answer " I dunno." or something to that effect.

He said Bush has to do something to get him back on board. Quinn has been a Bush supporter in the past.
