I Am Outraged! Should I Be?
I got to thinking...We now have an American soldier as a POW being broadcast around the world. We have mercenaries for hire being held captive. Her is my outrage. These mercenaries are getting paid, what, $1,000 per day with the first $78,000 TAX FREE. Our soldiers, many who are in their early twenties, are getting pay of what, $15,000? These soldiers with families are not even making it, sustaining on food stamps, WIC vouchers, food pantries and family support systems. Then we have the employees of Haliburton. Ah, dreams of riches. Why the hell can these guys get paid TAX FREE (meaning OUR TAX DOLLARS) to go to Iraq and our troops get shit? Why has this not been covered? Maybe it has and I have not seen it, but I have not one ounce of pity for these Haliburton employees. Watching ABC News tonight with this doctor visiting the amputees, I started getting very sad, then very angry. Bush, this is on YOUR hands.

2. No doubt the mercenaries will petition Congress
for veterans' benefits and pensions. I'm not kidding either.

4. The problem is with the law, tax law
one of the few that actually helps the working man (read troops). Anybody deployed into a combat zone does not pay federal taxes, which is jockingly called the Tax Free zone.

Now what I woud do is TAX Halliburton and Vinnell Employees, as they are serving the mighty dollar, but not the troops... the fact that they do not pay Federal Taxes helps them to keep their head above water

5. Seems to me that our tax dollars are paying Haliburton
who in turn pays these mercenaries.
