1. Touchy, touchy
The clinging to inessential details is a good sign, however.

4. Question though.
Aren't you supposed to ask Alice when she's 10' tall, not when she has 1000 posts? Plus, unless she puts down her vorpral kitchen knife I am not asking her anything. So there.

14. The claws that catch? The jaws that snatch?
Yes, the vorpal kitchen knife. That is actually from the video game "Alice" which is twisted and demented. I loved it.

27. Imagine being Alice...
...but being trapped inside your own self, while you are going insane.Wonderland, te world we all have inside ourselves, your own personal Wonderland is mirroring that descent into madness.

"Save us Alice!"

It's so much better when you know the book...and understand madness.

41. Here you go then.

Game Description: When Alice answers a distressed summons to return to Wonderland, she barely recognizes the befouled setting. From the fungal rot of the Mushroom Forest to the infernal chemistry of the Mad Hatter's Domain and beyond, Wonderland festers to its core. Undaunted by the diseased ambiance, cavernous confusion, and mortal danger that surround her, Alice must undo the chaos. Equipped with courage, a keen appetite for the bizarre, and a lethal array of transmogrified toys, she'll penetrate the strongholds of her enemies, confront the forces of evil, and put the wicked Queen of Hearts in her place.

Toys? A knife isn't a toy! Prehaps our Alice likes to play with knives?

If you find the game enjoy.

10. OK i read the whole post, and we didn't do very well i fear
there was a "misstatement" re: Iraqis in Gitmo. Altho later on it was reported and linked there was 1! at gitmo, if Saigon would have rephrased post #38 you had her. Since it wasn't edited to say Afghanis at Gitmo, or Iraqis "may" be sent to gitmo you gave her a string to pull. And I must say she hung on like a bulldog to it. If we had corrected our first error it's possible the thread could have gone on to the real issue--- the Geneva Conventions and mistreatment of civilians. as it is, she could easily post this on CU and point at us as America Haters and DU can't back up their lies.

Sorry but if we are gonna hang them out for lying and not admitting mistakes, we have to be willing to admit them when we make them, and take our lumps so we can move on to the issues.

Don't flame me now anybody PLEASE :hi:

17. there are plenty of prisoners at the abu ghraib prison, however..
"Guantanamo on steroids"

Abu Ghraib was an infamous prison under Saddam. Now, for Iraqis seeking relatives detained by the U.S. military, it is still a place where men disappear.

March 3, 2004 | BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Abu Ghraib prison became famous in Saddam's time as the place where men disappeared. Behind its high ochre-colored walls and looping spans of barbed wire, prisoners faced miserable living conditions, regular torture, and (in some cases) execution. Now the U.S. military controls Abu Ghraib, calling it the Baghdad Correctional Facility (though no Iraqis I've met seem to be aware of the name change). And for many Iraqis seeking information about relatives detained by the American military, Abu Ghraib is still a place where men disappear.

35. True, but
the requested link to proof that Iragis were sent to Guantanamo was never acknowledged/addressed, which made her focus more intently on the issue.

I think Az is right here: time was wasted. If we had moved on, we might have gotten a bit further convincing "them."

Just my HO.

some people are mighty freaked out by an Arab voice, they prefer to get their Arab perspective from Tom Friedman.
