8. No, Dan was from northern Indiana

You can only get fried cow brain sandwiches in the southern part. I remember eating one or two with my grandmother when I was a kid. She loved them...I never saw what the big deal was.

Squirrel brains carry disease

Researchers at the University of Kentucky have issued a tentative warning that people should not eat squirrel brains because the rodents may carry a variant of the fatal mad cow disease.

2. That's definitely a wise, well thought out solution
I went to McD's for the first time in I don't know how long, and am suffering. I had a couple of the cheap, little double cheeseburgers. I couldn't even eat most of the second one.

Did I mention I am suffering? I swear, something in that chemical concoction has caused my stomach to swell. I will not eat there again!

Good luck with the down-home eatin'!

I had a friend give me some elk meat, and it's still sitting in my freezer, because I'm afraid it may have the chronic wasting disease prions or whatever. Yet, I will eat chem/bio weapon burgers from McD's.

I'm ashamed. And suffering.

5. Perfect story for "60-Minutes." What a bizarre gov. Bu$h runs.
I try to buy organic, grass-fed beef. But how do I know what I think I am buying is what I am really getting? The FDA and Dept. of Agriculture only muddy the water.

6. If you visit vegsource.com, you can find lots more reasons not
If you visit vegsource.com, you can find lots more reasons not to eat beef.

The environment, compassion for animals, heart health, etc.

7. There was a story years ago in Florida
A restaurant served beef that they raised on their own ranch. The Health Dept made them post a sign to that effect and that their beef was not inspected. Their business improved substantially.
