So what do you think. How did I do?
This was in response to am email I received today alleging that Bush would be the better President to fight the terrorists than Kerry.

XXXXXX,

You are missing the point and you keep changing the subject. The truth of the matter is Bush was warned many many times from not only our own intelligence sources but those from other countries that Al Queda was prepared to launch a spectacular attack inside America during the several months that preceeded 9-11. And what did the president do? Not one blinking thing. He went on the longest vacation ever taken by a sitting president during the month of August 2001. I have many links and sources of data, including recent 9-11 Commission testimony of which I will dig up transcripts, to back this up. BUSH KNEW!!!!!! Why would he do that? Well some suggest he was incompetent and disinterested, and some even go so far as to suggest he was complicit. It has been difficult to truly get to the bottom of what happened and why because this administration has been stone-walling and obfuscating the investigation. An investigation, I might add that Shrub and his minions fought like hell to not have happen in the first place. Then when it was finally agreed that there would be an independent investigation, the committee members were handpicked by the WH, as well as the scope of the investigation was limited by them as well. Do you find it curious that this President would not want to get to the bottom of why the worst terrorist attact ever perpetrated upon the United States happened? Why have they refused to turn over documents, demanded that witnesses within the various government offices be questioned only in the presense of "minders" from the WH. Now the President refuses to meet with the Commission and answer questions alone, as has been requested by the Commission, without his puppetmaster Dick Cheney. Really Chuck, it goes on and on and on and on. When you make statements like "mushroom cloud over LA", I have to believe that you are getting your information from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, who are both sources of White House propaganda. Is Bush really willing to go after terrorists, or is he serving his corporate masters? Follow the money, that is always helpful when you are trying to arrive at the truth. Who gained from 9-11 and the war upon Iraq. Do you know our country's history with Osama? Did you know that Osama was a CIA asset in the 80's during the Afghan-Russian war? Did you also know that one of Bin Ladin's brothers was a business partner with W in 1980's in his failed oil company Arbusto Energy? Did you know that this administration was negotiating with the Taliban just two months before 9-11 for an oil pipeline that was to be built through Afghanistan by Halliburton and was a project of Exxon. Did you know that the US installed Karsai, the acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan was previously on the Board of Directors for Shell Oil? Did you know that Colin Powell personally authorized a 26,000,000 payment to the Taliban in July of 2001. Did you know that negotiations between this current administration and the Taliban fell apart in July of 2001? Really I could go on and on and on and on ad infinitum. You can't dispute facts Chuck. Facts are facts. Spin is spin. Lies are lies. Propaganda is propaganda. This stuff goes deep, frighteningly deep.

As far as the coming Presidential election goes I think that I will sit this one out. I have become completely disgusted and dismayed at our compromised elected leaders including the Senate and the House. Pigs at the trough, all of them. This country is going to hell in a hand bag and fast. If you want to really learn what the hell is going on, I would be glad to help you out some more. If not, the least you can do is pray for our country, what is left of it anyway.

There will be many false prophets, wolves in sheep's clothing.

1. I think that you did very well.
Informed me about a few things. Very scary, very scary indeed (the part about negotiation with the Taliban -- and Karsai's connection to Shell Oil). It's good that my view of the Right wasn't wrong after all.

2. In substance, I like what I see, but...
It would be more effective broken into shorter paragraphs. It's kind of hard to read as one long paragraph. This is meant as constructive criticism.

4. Mostly Right...Need to Vote!
I would concurr on most of your note, you seem to have fleshed out some of the rather salient points that people just don't seem to get or want to know. i must quibble with you on a few items, however: if i'm not mistaken, the oil co. that was attempting to build the pipeline through afghanistan was UNOCAL, not Exxon, and UNOCAL was also Karzai's employer before he was installed as our puppet. a minor detail, i realize, but it's something that rush and the rest of the other f#@kers would use to negate your entire argument. also...it's ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL that informed, intelligent people like yourself DON'T sit this election out...the stakes are too damn high, for things like the war and the economy and such, but most importantly, because of the long-term consequences of having * get to choose (most likely) up to three new Supreme Court justices, and possibly a fourth if Rehnquist retires and * chooses to make Scalia his new Chief Justice. Kerry wasn't really my first choice either, more like my third or fourth, but i'm so virulantly anti-bush that i'd vote for marvin the martian for president before bush. no our system's not set up to provide a plethora of options, but i truly believe that one party is eminantly better than the other at this juncture in our country's history.

it's too important...you gotta vote.

just my humble (albiet rather well-read, much to the detriment of my studies) opinion

5. Your right about Unocal being the oil company wanting the pipeline
I wasn't sure when I was raging in my email so I winged it. But if I remember correctly Karzai is from Shell, I made a mental note (for what THAT is worth)because that is where Sleazy Rice comes from.

6. rice at exxon
actually rice was at exxon...they even had a tanker named for her, although i hear they've since renamed it. wouldn't be prudent, you understand.

and i'd stake my ample supply of frozen genuine texas fajita meat (i'm now relocated to ohio) on the fact that karzai was a UNOCAL employee, not Shell. Shell's got it's own stew o' problems currently, so i hear. gee, hate to see that. greedy bastards.
