Just watching Fox and, as usual, scratching my head in bewilderment--mough agape. Program is titled "Stock Smarts," and is peopled with self-satisfied, egomaniacal twits who have never even donated a day of service to their country and have no intentions of ever doing so.

Seems that they are all excited about shoveling more fodder into the maw of war. More troops! More troops! The market goes up every time we send more troops....

But the most astounding circular thinking of these silly little Freepers was when someone suggested that maybe the "people" would have some input on whether we kept throwing their kids onto the killing fields. One pimple-faced, big eared, wide-eyed "expert" chortled gleefully, and cried, "Oh come on -- what do the people know? Don't you remember that the people elected Hitler democratically? And how about all those people who cheered when Jesus was nailed to the cross? Come Onnnnnn -- get real !"

6. It just occurred to me last night, as I was driving home...

our country is about to face a Social Security crisis. It's called the "greying of America". We have a huge bulge in our "baby boomer" population, (45 million) which is going to become old all at the same time.

In the meantime, the number of young people who will be taking care of all these oldsters is getting smaller and smaller. Policymakers in Washington are well aware of this fact. There will not be enough young people to pay the massive taxes which are needed for this.

And now we're sending our youngest, and our best, to die in a war over oil.
