In his new book, good old Bob Woodward documents President Bush's run-up to the war in Iraq, which turns out to have begun far sooner than any of us ever knew, or probably even wanted to know. After all, if the president had started babbling to the public about the threat of Saddam Hussein at the first itch of his trigger finger, we might have assumed him to be a complete lunatic, in the mold of Richard Milhouse Nixon."
