Why must bush* and Uncle Dick go to the commission together?
Hope this isn't a dupe, but seriously...I know the sock puppet routine and all, but he publicly ignored the question twice at his "press conference", and I've never heard the reason given. Did I miss that thread? I'd like to know whose decision it was. Did bush* ask for help, or was he ordered to go with his Uncle Dick? Just the fact that they had to make the decision to not let him interview by himself is damning as far as I'm concerned, but I haven't ever noticed any follow-up by the press outside of "Gee, he didn't really answer that one".
Well, I'd like the damned answer! Anyone heard it yet?

2. What do you want, a follow-up question? You can't go there.
Those questions are for truthseekers only.

And they believe we don't deserve the truth.

4. BS "Press Conference"!
Gee Dubya blathered on for an hour and answered NOTHING! Unka Dickie has to hold poor widdle Georgie's hand to comfort him before those MEAN commissioners! He'll be a surrogate for Babs.

23. Off topic
The Hawker Hurricane and the Supermarine Spitfire were both equipped with a handy rear view mirror for 'checking your six'. Legend has it that if you actually used it when warned to 'check six', you would get a nice view of the Messerschmidt as it shot you down. The proper way to 'check six' was to perform the sharpest turn you possible could, so you could look over your shoulder at the German plane flying past you...

8. Gillespie dodge the issue on the Today Show on Thursday
Gillespie repeatedly dodged and refused to answer questions about why Bush and Chaney must appear together on Thursday's Today Show. It was really pretty sad.

Even though this is not under oath, Rove is afraid that the testimony will leak and that the best way of dealing with this is have Chaney answer all of the questions.

11. Thanks! I just wanted to make sure they still hadn't addressed this.
If they haven't it looks like "Letter to the Editor" time again. I want my neighbors in this red state to keep dwelling on this inability of their ex-governor to think on his own. :kick:

22. Well....
Cheney has said some pretty stupid things, so maybe all is not lost.

-Iraq has reconstituted nuclear weapons

-Richard Clarke was out of the loop

-we don't know whether Saddam was involved with 9/11 or not

etc. etc.

16. Will they be asked about the $700 million diverted to Iraq?
Or would that not be relevant information to 9/11 investigation? Off-base? Or will they cancel out?

17. Actually, what I'd like to see is for the public pressure
to get cranked up like it did for Condescenda Rice. At first it was just us here at DU and in other liberal internet forums that objected to the stated excuse for her casual, private Q&A with the commission. I don't think the change of venue had as much to do with that old photo they were faxed as it did with the press finally being forced to pick up the chant of "WHY NOT?" with us or be left behind. Once they joined in too Chimpco had no choice but to force Rice under the lights. I think the same strategy would work to split up the "tag-team" appearance of bush* and Unca Dick. It's worth a try. :kick:

25. Most embarrassing thing to happen. Especially so when the
commission requested they come seperately. But bush insists? Why? Why would they disregard the request and come together?

Something is SUSPICIOUS yes?
