St. Louis hockey player arrested for trying to get his boyfriend killed?

Wow, if this is what it appears to be, it's a really sad look at the impact that the closet has on people:

The FBI said Danton hatched a plot where the man could kill the "hit man" at Danton's apartment. The plan was to make it look like two burglars had broken in, one being killed and the other making off with $3,000 Danton had in a safe.

The criminal complaint also said the argument involved "promiscuity and use of alcohol" by Danton, who "begged the acquaintance not to go to ... and ruin his career."

This all but suggests to me that they were in a relationship, the "acquaintance" was angry that the player was being promiscous, and threatened to out him to his team, and the player snapped.

What a sad story.
