Bush Spend $700 million on Iraq without Congress's Approval
Edited on Sat Apr-17-04 06:51 PM by Snellius
Just heard on CBS News that another scandal is brewing out of Woodward's book. Bush spend over $700 million, taken from the fund Congress approved for the war in Afghanistan, and used it illegally in preparing for the war in Iraq. Even though the president is commander in chief, this abuse is a major violation of the separation of powers and a potentially impeachable offense.

1. I disagree
Getting a blow job from an intern in the Oval Office and then lying about it to a pissant prosecutor is a far more serious offense.

2. Yo, it's HIS government
He can do what he wants with it. As he says, "it's MY government." You shouldn't be so critical of little things like spending $700 million dollars without the approval of congress.

And how dare you criticize the King over seperation of powers violations? Seperation of powers is VERY important to him, which is why Condoleeza Rice could not testify at the 9/11 commission.

4. If this miserable whiney congress had any guts,
they would go after Bush. How many times has he lied to them?

Remember the medicare drug plan?

But this time its different; it is illegal!

5. But it would take the Repubs to start
impeachment proceedings and they would never do it come hell or high water. They are so in lock-step with him, it would take the country to demand impeachment. I'm ready. I would impeach him for just being.
