Cheney says Kerry is a threat to gun owners
Th Bush campaign continues its appeal to the sporting community (hunters, fishing enthusiasts, etc.). Last week we had photo ops with the president fishing. This week Cheney makes his appeal to NRA members and gun owners.

"John Kerry's approach to the Second Amendment has been to regulate, regulate and then regulate some more," Cheney said, citing votes against legislation that would protect gun makers from lawsuits and in favor of allowing federal authorities to randomly inspect gun dealers without notice."

I think this proves what I have witnessed first hand here in Georgia. Bush has heard his numbers are slipping with one of his core groups. Many of the people around here that on weekends don camouflage to go fishing and hunting are out of work. High gas prices are getting to them, ,and frankly they're worried about their families. Bushco can't address these issues, so they are pulling out their old trump card - "Vote for a Democrat and they'll take away your guns."

I think the fact that Bushco is is already playing this card so early in the game shows desperation. What do you think??

8. NRA Gun Policies
Thanks to the NRA, if the terrorists can enter the U. S., they can obtain all of the weapons they need here. They don't have to worry about smuggling weapons into the United States.

3. Absolutely.
This is an adminstration that thrives on fear. I guess you can call Bush the anti-FDR...the only think they have to use is fear itself.

4. Systematic destruction of wild areas
is driving many hunters and fishers out of *'s camp. It's no use having unlimited gun rights if there is no place to hunt.

6. It's just a theory of mine,
but I think some of these NRA spokespersons are obsessed with guns because they think that gun (or guns) are an extension of their penises. These guys become ballistic and paranoid of any type of restriction on gun ownership because it takes away their manhood.

Did you see the picture in the newspapers of the NRA brass presenting Cheney with the rifle. Cheney looked half crazed looking at that gun. Given the remarks he made at the convention, he probably was.

He's really been overextended recently. He spent a week in Asia, then came straight to the NRA convention for the speech. He better get his beauty rest before testifying at the 9-11 Commission with the Chimp.

7. Never mind the fact that Kerry owns guns...
and is a hunter.... bird hunting.....
so to the NRA community a dead bird in Kerry's hand beats two george bushes..... or something like that.

10. If Cheney and the GOP love guns so much. . .
. . . why aren't they sending their kids over to enlist in Iraq? They'll get all the guns they want.
