As a mother who lost a child many years ago, I can only imagine what you're going through, day by day. The stress must be tremendous, and I ask that you give your wife a hug for me.... I know how much I needed hugs when I was going through that tense waiting.
While this is such an intensely private turmoil that you're experiencing, by sharing it with others, my hope is that you're opening some eyes. Much to my amazement, there are still so many who don't seem to have much sense of what our men and women are going through, each day.
Many of us were completely against this war, and are against having it continue. We stand with you in your wish for your son to return.
I know it's not much help to you, but may there be some consolation in knowing that there are many, unknown to you, who understand your pain, and send you their best wishes.
Thank you for your eloquent words.
