We heard Condi Rice with her half-ass explanation about the money being appropriated to a "region" rather than to Afghanistan specifically. They can lie and deceive, because they are in charge. The laws don't apply to them.

As when Bush gave Florida part of the $87 million defense appropriation to protect the WTO attendees or whatever reason they used?? But, it is not just George W Bush. It goes back as long as most of us have been born.

Ronald Reagan had his Iran -Contra affair, in which Poppy Bush pled "out of the loop", in which money was illegally diverted to his little war in support of the Contras in Nicaragua. Ollie North, Robt McFarland, and his entire national security apparatus went along with him. They sold weapons to terrorists to get money for the Contras because Congress refused to appropriate money for the Contra war.

This is what they believe. They are like royalty. They don't need the support or approval of the people or the people's representatives. They know better than everyone else what is best for the country. They think they have that mandate just because they are in the White House. They have no respect for the wishes of the Congress or the people.
