Bush is insane, and his statements sound like
Edited on Sun Apr-18-04 06:58 PM by Mari333
he is so insane he can start a nuclear war. Hes completely insane, and in charge of the US. Anyone who watched 60 minutes cannot even doubt it now. He is being whispered to, in his small mind, by the extremist religious right, and he is hell bent on creating Armageddon to please them. He and Cheney are undeniably insane, and someone has to stop them.
I am calling all of my republican senators and congress tomorrow, and the dems. To let this man continue til November is impossible. This man has got to go now. Period. November may be too late for the world.

email congress tonight, call them inundate them ..or die in Bush's insane nuclear war he will create

12. His detachment from reality and his seeming surety
that he can get away with pretty much anything (on luck and charm?) has led me to think that he is truly deranged.

The statement on 60 minutes tonight that gave me the biggest shudder was the Bush told Woodward four months ago that (his preventative invasion of Iraq) was the event of the 21st centruy.

It's awfully scary to combine in one person both megalomania AND stupidity. Especially when he is the President of the US.

He's delusional.

If he's remembered by history, it will be for the sheer incompetence of his administration in absolutely every area: economy, foreign relations, quality of life, environment

7. Oh, thats just a paraphrase of John Maynard Keynes.
....not sure if Bush is familiar with the source of his come back, but this was attributed to the ecnomist John Maynard Keynes...when asked about the long term implications of an econmic policy, Keynes replied that "in the long term we will all be dead", or something like that.

I wouldnt put too much stock in that.

As for Bush having God talk to him and tell him what to do and give him advice, well..how can we be sure its God, not Satan?

10. That's right..
I too wouldn't put much stock in the "we'll all be dead" comment. One other thing Woodward said which I feel cancels that out was, "he's not a 'deep thinker' not an intellectual" which we've known all along. Furthermore, given that his number 1 emeny is the English language, who the hell knows what he was "really" trying to say anyhow.

33. Reagan said something similar, I think
different context, but the idea is the same: hey, who cares about the future? *I* won't be here.

which is, I think, what Bush and most of these fuckheads mean: they simply don't care what happens to future generations, because it's all about them, them, them. It makes sense if you think about it: they don't care about anybody else right now, why *would* they care about anyone who's around after their precious bodily fluids are all dried up?

bah.

5. Schizophrenia: Symptoms and Diagnosis...
1) Paranoid Schizophrenia:
- Characterized by delusions of grandeur (thinking you are more important than you are), persecution or control ( someone is out to get them);
- Not surprisingly, given above, they often appear agitated, argumentative, angry and sometimes violet, thus they are emotionally responsive;
- Often show ideas of reference: trivial actions or events take on personal significance (e.g., see people talking–they believe the conversation is about them);
- Commonly have auditory hallucinations: believe they are hearing God, or a miniature radio has been secretly installed in their head;

http://xnet.rrc.mb.ca/tomh/schizoph.htm

As a friend once said, in layman's terms, "Paranoid Schizophrenic" may be freely translated to "Dangerous Man".

18. No, no, no...please don't mis-diagnose the chimp.
Bush's behavior and statements most likely fit into delusional disorder diagnosis (at the extreme) with co-morbid anti-social and narcisitic personality disorder features. One has to rule out the remote possibility that his hyper-religiosity may be signaling partial-complex seizures with a temporal lobe focus...maybe fueled by a long history of alcohol or liver damage to the brain.

His cocaine and alcohol substance abuse dependence history and likely premorbid history of learning disorder, only heighten his chances for dementia. Which, if I were a betting man, would be along the frontotemporal dementia vein (maybe Pick's disease). He's got his cardiovascular health working in his favor, so vascular dementia or Alzheimer's disease are not as salient of diagnostic possibilities down the road.

37. I think the hyper-religiosity just fits in with the narcissism.
Narcissists need to be more special than anyone else, and they're never content with what they have. If you're already the president of the most powerful nation on earth in real life, where do you go from there? After all, other people have been president, too (the horror). How do you define yourself as *extra*-special? Why, you're God's Chosen President. For...well, whatever it is. But whatever it is, it's Big.

and yet, he still spends nearly half his time home on the ranch, which suggests to me that the fantasy is the important part. You know, I think if they just struck him in a room with a VR-type video screen of an endless loop of screaming, adoring fans, he'd happily stay there forever.

11. A true but insane story about Bush 41 . . .
Back in the days of Bush 41, a very ordinary friend of mine went under the knife and had a strange lucid anesthesia dream that seemed to him so clear it was like a revelation from God.

My friend was an ordinary truck driver, conservative, down to earth, God fearing, average Joe, family man -- he came back to work and shared with me the dream he'd had: that God had revealed to him the antichrist, and it was, of all people, George Bush?? Well, my friend couldn't make hide nor hair of this dream -- it made no sense at all to him -- though its message seemed very clear to him, almost revelation-like. He asked me what I thought, and I could offer him no wisdom.

Now I've lost track of the guy -- I wonder if he's remembering that crazy dream today, like I am.

Obviously, if Junior had taken such an exam...he would have flunked...royally! He would have been institutionalized immediately! Ditto for Cheney, Rumsfeld, et. al.! This would have taken place before the primaries!

43. Ive been following the mindset of the massive psychosis of
the Armageddon Lobby for a long time. There are a lot of them, angry and disillusioned that "jesus didnt return in 2000". Remember when so many US extremists sat on the hill of Megiddo in 1999, waiting for the end times battle of 2000? they left Israel, disappointed, angry and furious that jesus didnt return, and even Pat Robertson had a video cam set up to FILM Armegeddon.
Well, it didnt happen. All the people angry now, bitter, furious they look like fools, and they are Franklin Graham and Billy Graham and Pat Robertson's base and Bush is part of that mass psychosis. You have to be pretty darned stupid to be part of that base, also.
The only reason a lot of right wing evangelicals support Israel is because they want to convert it, destroy the Temple Mount, and kickstart their Left Behind scenario, which is insanity, and this is now their "crusade".
They sent tons of Baptists into Iraq (bet they left) to convert the infidels, and believe me, they would convert Israel too if they had a chance, but they dont, because its illegal to prostylitize in Israel (thank goodness)
They also think the Jews will die and go to hell, cept for a few.
The extremist fundamentalists in the US also chummy up to Jewish people because they figure they are the chosen people..they even go so far to say they are "finished Jews", which any decent jewish person will tell you is horsehockey.
Therefore, Israel is their baby, and Bush is very similar to the nuts like Lahaye and the Moonie cult, and the rest of the psychotic bunch hell bent on forcing Armageddon on people out of their own anger and bitterness.
See www.mille.org for some research on the crazies
see http://www.againstbombing.com/ArmageddonUpdates.htm
on some insite into the delusions.
Its extreme brainwashing, and only works on people who have small minds. Very limited minds, like Bush.

those clowns are deluded by their religion and by their faith in the repugs.The repubs wouldn't have a chance if they didn't have a large block of voters to vote against their own interest. They are tools(in several ways)and very useful ones. As long as they don't affect the ruling class they will be allowed to play. Asscroft & bu$h may be true believers but are not the real decision makers.
I've been living immersed in these nutcases for 22 years, they are obnoxious hypocrites, but in the end it seems that Money trumps. I suppose that's a good thing, in a queasy way.

His true allegiance is to the counterpart of these wackos here is our own country--the Christian fundamentalist radicals. As their leader he is acting out some perverse version of High Noon--call it Armageddon. He has obviously replaced our Constitution with his "personal relationship with GOD".
