HOWARD DEAN'S RAPID FIRE LIES

During the final moments of my show preparation this morning I happened to catch Howard Dean on CNN promoting the candidacy of John Kerry. Dean went into this rant about George Bush that was, to say the least, incredible. Incredible because I haven't heard a politician cram so many lies into so little time in quite a while.

Dean said the president was not telling the truth when he said:

"There was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, which was not true."
In fact, it was true. Those connections have now been proven.

"That Saddam Hussein had something to do with terrorism, which was not true."
Come on, Howard. Saddam was making a big deal of writing checks to the families of suicide bombers. He was harboring terrorists in Baghdad. Ever heard of Abu Nidal?

"When he said in the State of the Union that Iraq was purchasing uranium from Africa, which was not true."
George Bush never made that statement. Dean is lying, and he knows he's lying. Why didn't the CNN interviewer call him on this?

"When the Vice President said that in Iraq they are accumulating nuclear weapons, which was not true."
I can find no instance where Cheney said that Iraq was accumulating nuclear weapons, only that Saddam was attempting to do so.

What a shame it is that Dean imploded. What fun he would be as a candidate!

1. I've got three of them covered.
"There was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, which was not true."
In fact, it was true. Those connections have now been proven.

Oh really now? Ask him for the proof. When you ask him, be sure to let him know it's his job before he answers, that you won't take "I won't do your research for you" for an answer; that's a trick they play.

"When he said in the State of the Union that Iraq was purchasing uranium from Africa, which was not true."
George Bush never made that statement. Dean is lying, and he knows he's lying. Why didn't the CNN interviewer call him on this?

George W. Bush* said:
"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently
sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

So yeah, he said that. He cannot say the British government learned something that he didn't think was true. If your friend wants to play around with he technically said this or that, ask him if that means Bush* was pulling a Clinton.

"When the Vice President said that in Iraq they are accumulating nuclear weapons, which was not true."
I can find no instance where Cheney said that Iraq was accumulating nuclear weapons, only that Saddam was attempting to do so.

"We believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons."
- Dick Cheney, Meet the Press, March 16, 2003

2. Also...
...if he doesn't want to prove the other two, ask him why you should believe the article when you already found two lies in it.

3. A cakewalk
OK, so * said, "Hussein has attempted to purchase significant quantities of uranium from Africa". This little twit of a friend of yours, who feels that technicality validates Bush's lie, deserves to be struck repeatedly in the head with a whiffle-ball bat.

The connections between Hussein and al-Qaeda is a big fat, pus-filled, Limbaugh-cyst of a right-wing lie which they really don't want to give up because our Marines is' fightin' over thar for 9/11.

Cheney and Bush both said that the Iraqis HAVE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. Many times. They are liars. Your friend is in a deep case of denial.

This is a petty little f*ck who is so insignificant I wouldn't waste your time.

"I can find no instance where Cheney said that Iraq was accumulating nuclear weapons, only that Saddam was attempting to do so."

Look here for the many times (one video clip just repeated on 60 Minutes) Cheney said Saddam had WMDs:

"George Bush never made that statement. Dean is lying, and he knows he's lying. Why didn't the CNN interviewer call him on this?"

Quoet from George W. Bush in his State of the Union speech:

"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa."

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/01/28/sotu.transcript/

"Come on, Howard. Saddam was making a big deal of writing checks to the families of suicide bombers. He was harboring terrorists in Baghdad. Ever heard of Abu Nidal?"

Saddam wrote checks to HAMAS families -- the group who has bombing Israel but has never acted against the US -- yet. As for terrorists training in Iraq, are we speaking of al Qaeda specifically or the generic "terrorists". Look for reports that there were people training in the Northern area of Iraq -- you know, the place we were flying over daily and was under Kurd, not Saddam, control.

"In fact, it was true. Those connections have now been proven."

Go to my website and look under the Foreign Policy page, there are several articles there debunking that.

5. heres some amo
"Over the years, Iraq has provided safe haven to terrorists such as Abu Nidal, whose terror organization carried out more than ninety terrorist attacks in twenty countries that killed or injured nearly 900 people, including 12 Americans." GW Bush, Oct.7,2002

Michael Ratner is president of the Center for Constitutional Rights: "Although U.S.intelligence agencies have not found a relationship between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda, Bush mentions one, but no evidence is shown. Likewise he tries to frighten Americans by talking about the crimes of Abu Nidal, but Abu Nidal is dead. Again it is an attempt to create fear by association with something from the past, not evidence of a current threat."

"Iraq has also provided safe haven to Abu Abbas, who was responsible for seizing the Achille Lauro and killing an American passenger. And we know that Iraq is continuing to finance terror, and gives assistance to groups that use terrorism to undermine Middle East peace."GW Bush, Oct.7, 2002

Chris Toensing editor of Middle East Report: " Yes, but neither of these groups is ideologically anti-American. Their attacks are aimed at Israel and Israeli interests, including the killing of Leon Klinghoffer and other Americans. This is a crucial piece of context."

On NBC's Meet the Press Sunday, March 16, 2003, Vice President Cheney audaciously reiterated an ominous note.

NBC: "And even though the International Atomic Energy Agency said he does not have a nuclear program, we disagree?"

Cheney: "I disagree, yes. And you'll find the CIA, for example, and other key parts of our intelligence community disagree. Let's talk about the nuclear proposition for a minute. … We know that based on intelligence, that has been very, very good at hiding these kinds of efforts. He's had years to get good at it and we know he has been absolutely devoted to trying to acquire nuclear weapons. And we believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons. I think Mr. ElBaradei, frankly, is wrong."

As far as the state of the union quote, that's beating a dead horse...even the republicans have ran far away from that one.

6. This person is *mistaken* must be a Limbaugh listener?
Dean said the president was not telling the truth when he said:

"There was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, which was not true."
In fact, it was true. Those connections have now been proven.

Ask this person to *prove* these allegations then. Bush is known to be *connected* to Osama Bin Laden, Saddam was not.

http://www.rense.com/general14/bushsformer.htm

"When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Osama bin Laden, he didn't tell the American people that the terrorist mastermind's late brother was an investor in the president's former oil business in Texas. He also hasn't leveled with the American public about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in drug cartels, gun smuggling, and terrorist networks."

http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2002-09-26-iraq-alqaeda_x.htm

"Paul Anderson, spokesman for Sen. Bob Graham, D-Fla., chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the senator, who has access to highly classified reports, has seen nothing that would connect al-Qaeda with Saddam's regime."

"That Saddam Hussein had something to do with terrorism, which was not true."
Come on, Howard. Saddam was making a big deal of writing checks to the families of suicide bombers. He was harboring terrorists in Baghdad. Ever heard of Abu Nidal?

Ever heard of the KKK?

http://www.terrorismanswers.com/groups/american.html?

"What is right-wing domestic terrorism?
Terrorism motivated by opposition to federal taxation and regulation, the United Nations, other international organizations, and the U.S. government itself, as well as by a hatred of racial and religious minorities. This type of terrorism, which has roots in the activities of white supremacist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and antigovernment groups, flourished in the 1980s. FBI officials say right-wing militants—including skinheads, neo-Nazis, militia members, and the so-called Christian Patriot movement—now pose America’s most serious domestic terrorist threat..."

"When he said in the State of the Union that Iraq was purchasing uranium from Africa, which was not true."
George Bush never made that statement. Dean is lying, and he knows he's lying. Why didn't the CNN interviewer call him on this?

Really?

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/01/20030128-19.html

"The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had an advanced nuclear weapons development program, had a design for a nuclear weapon and was working on five different methods of enriching uranium for a bomb. The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa. Our intelligence sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production. Saddam Hussein has not credibly explained these activities. He clearly has much to hide." GEORGE DUBBYA BUSH'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS: Jan 28, 2003

"When the Vice President said that in Iraq they are accumulating nuclear weapons, which was not true."
I can find no instance where Cheney said that Iraq was accumulating nuclear weapons, only that Saddam was attempting to do so.

"Containment is not possible when dictators have weapons of mass destruction and are prepared to share them with terrorists." Dick Cheney ... :scared:

What a shame it is that Dean imploded. What fun he would be as a candidate!

I celebrate the implosion of Bush at his own hand. Thank goodness for people like Dean who will continue to expose the LIES of this American Regime.

This person is beyond diluted!
Sing it with me now... "My DrUgz Are rEd WhiTe anD BlUe..."
