Dean said the president was not telling the truth when he said:
"There was a connection between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda, which was not true."
In fact, it was true. Those connections have now been proven. Ask this person to *prove* these allegations then. Bush is known to be *connected* to Osama Bin Laden, Saddam was not.
http://www.rense.com/general14/bushsformer.htm"When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Osama bin Laden, he didn't tell the American people that the terrorist mastermind's late brother was an investor in the president's former oil business in Texas. He also hasn't leveled with the American public about his financial connections to a host of shady Saudi characters involved in drug cartels, gun smuggling, and terrorist networks."
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2002-09-26-iraq-alqaeda_x.htm"Paul Anderson, spokesman for Sen. Bob Graham, D-Fla., chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the senator, who has access to highly classified reports, has seen nothing that would connect al-Qaeda with Saddam's regime."
"That Saddam Hussein had something to do with terrorism, which was not true."
Come on, Howard. Saddam was making a big deal of writing checks to the families of suicide bombers. He was harboring terrorists in Baghdad. Ever heard of Abu Nidal?Ever heard of the KKK?
http://www.terrorismanswers.com/groups/american.html?"What is right-wing domestic terrorism?
Terrorism motivated by opposition to federal taxation and regulation, the United Nations, other international organizations, and the U.S. government itself, as well as by a hatred of racial and religious minorities. This type of terrorism, which has roots in the activities of white supremacist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and antigovernment groups, flourished in the 1980s. FBI officials say right-wing militants—including skinheads, neo-Nazis, militia members, and the so-called Christian Patriot movement—now pose America’s most serious domestic terrorist threat..."
"When he said in the State of the Union that Iraq was purchasing uranium from Africa, which was not true."
George Bush never made that statement. Dean is lying, and he knows he's lying. Why didn't the CNN interviewer call him on this?Really?
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/01/20030128-19.html"The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed in the 1990s that Saddam Hussein had an advanced nuclear weapons development program, had a design for a nuclear weapon and was working on five different methods of enriching uranium for a bomb.
The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa. Our intelligence sources tell us that he has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes suitable for nuclear weapons production. Saddam Hussein has not credibly explained these activities. He clearly has much to hide."
GEORGE DUBBYA BUSH'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS: Jan 28, 2003 "When the Vice President said that in Iraq they are accumulating nuclear weapons, which was not true."
I can find no instance where Cheney said that Iraq was accumulating nuclear weapons, only that Saddam was attempting to do so."Containment is not possible when dictators
have weapons of mass destruction and are prepared to share them with terrorists." Dick Cheney ... :scared:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/2250253.stmWhat a shame it is that Dean imploded. What fun he would be as a candidate!I celebrate the implosion of Bush at his own hand. Thank goodness for people like Dean who will continue to expose the LIES of this American Regime.
This person is beyond diluted!
Sing it with me now... "My DrUgz Are rEd WhiTe anD BlUe..."
